Ninja came to us as a 6-month-old stray—pregnant and alone. After a safe foster placement, she gave birth to five healthy kittens, each now settled in loving forever homes. When her last kitten headed out, Ninja moved into our Renton cat studio, shy and reserved, spending her days hidden and simply watching the world go by.
A New Beginning… Until Crisis Struck
Everything changed the day Christian and LoLo walked in. Ninja finally felt at home, blossoming into a playful, affectionate cat. She made a friend with their resident cat, turning their home into their own nightly playground.
On September 24, tragedy hit: Ninja was suddenly unable to move her hind legs or tail. Rushed to the emergency vet, imaging revealed fluid in her lungs—and a devastating diagnosis of feline infectious peritonitis (FIP).
Thanks to Christian and LoLo’s unwavering devotion, Ninja is now on the FIP treatment protocol and several supportive medications. Her condition has stabilized and even improved slightly—though she still can’t use her hind legs. Further tests are underway to uncover any underlying issues.
